Water Temperature
What is an accurate, efficient and cheap way to measure water temperature and store the results?
I am looking to measure the change in temperature of slowly flowing water surrounding a large block. I am looking for a cheap yet accurate and efficient way to measure and store the water temperature for a period of two to three hours at a time. I will do this procedure up to ten times. So i must be able to either store lots of the data or download the data to a labtop in between tests. I need to read the temperature in 8 places at once and I need sub degree accuracy.
Microchip microcontroller with as many A/D converters as you need, with RS232 on board will do the job for a few bucks. As for sensors, TI makes accurate low cost temperature sensors. So I estimate your project would cost in the $20 to $30 range. Need more help? email me at tarom92024@yahoo.com
